San Francisco Ocular Symposium 2016
"It is so very important for optometrists and ophthalmologists to be educated so they can stay updated on treating and empowering their patients as front-line practitioners."
On June 6, 2016, Dr. Tan was invited to speak in front of over 500 San Francisco-Bay Area Optometrists and eye doctors at the annual Ocular Symposium 2016. Also presenting were Dr. Mark Mandel, Dr. David Chang, Dr. Marc Lieberman, and other leaders in the field. Optometrists and other eye physicians from around the country came to hear about the latest in ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment.

The conference is held annually at the Holiday Inn in San Francisco, CA. The presentation provided new knowledge and allowed for leaders in Ophthalmology and Optometry to share their pearls on the latest in management of eye disease. "It is so very important for optometrists and ophthalmologists to be educated so they can stay updated on treating and empowering their patients as front-line practitioners,” said Dr. Tan. “This was my first Ocular Symposium, and I have to say that it was truly stimulating and invigorating to be able to stand before my fellow peers and ophthalmic professionals and discuss real cases and share strategies in clinical practice.”
