Comprehensive Ophthalmologist

Dr. Quinn Wang is a comprehensive ophthalmologist whose areas of expertise include cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), and micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

As a medical student at Duke University, she was awarded a prestigious Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB) research fellowship. Dr. Wang went on to complete her Internal Medicine internship at Tulane University, where she helped kick off patient care operations at University Medical Center New Orleans (UMCNO). While she was a University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) resident, Dr. Wang served as an Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Advocacy Ambassador.

Dr. Wang speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and warmly welcomes patients from all backgrounds. Her professional interests include delivering quality patient care, building high-performing teams, and improving surgical outcomes. She is dedicated to maximizing process and operational efficiency; for instance, as chief Ophthalmology resident at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG), she worked on streamlining the hospital’s weekly high-volume cataract surgery day (i.e. Fast Track Wednesday) and was known as the “Fast Track Queen.”

Additionally, Dr. Wang has a passion for using modern technology to enhance healthcare delivery – her MedTech startup, Vizalanche, is exploring how machine learning can be used to democratize eye care. She also champions female STEM empowerment and is actively involved with Elpha, a powerful online community for women in tech.

Her personal interests include backcountry skiing, graphic design, environmental conservation, modern art, literature, and long city walks.
